DENVER (KDVR) — A woman is in custody after police responded to a reported disturbance at a Westminster home and found another woman dead with "visible signs of trauma" over the weekend.

On Sunday afternoon, the Westminster Police Department said officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in the 3300 block of 92nd Place. This is between East Central Westminister and Shaw Heights neighborhoods.

After officers arrived just before 2 p.m., police said they found a woman dead inside the home with "visible signs of trauma." There was another woman, Sarah Riste, 37, and a child also found in the home.

Police said they were investigating the homicide, and later determined Riste as the suspect after further investigation. Riste is now facing charges of first-degree murder and was
