Young unemployed people will be offered work placements in the likes of pubs, restaurants and factories and risk losing benefits if they refuse.
Under plans announced by the Chancellor on Monday, every 18 to 21-year old who has been out of work or education for 18 months – and claiming universal credit – will be offered temporary jobs.
