The Philadelphia Eagles have lost another pass rusher to a long-term injury.

Edge rusher Ogbo Okoronkwo is expected to have suffered a season-ending triceps tear during Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers, according to a report from The Athletic .

Okoronkwo likely heading to injured reserve was first reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer .

Okoronkwo is the latest edge rusher to suffer a serious injury. Eagles starter Nolan Smith landed on IR last week after aggravating the triceps injury that required offseason surgery. Smith could return at the Week 9 bye but will miss the Eagles’ next four games.

Okoronkwo isn’t a major part of the defense, but he was a depth addition to a group that lost Josh Sweat in free agency and Brandon Graham to retirement following Super Bowl LIX.
