Nearly 700 veterans from across North Iowa and Southern Minnesota were able to receive services and camaraderie Saturday at the North Iowa and Southern Minnesota Veteran Stand Down held the last weekend each September.
The event is a way for veterans, volunteers and service agencies to connect former service members with the resources they need in today's challenging economy.
