A legendary D.C. venue is coming back under a new name and new management. 618 Productions, the company behind the DIY nightclub 618 on H Street NW, are packing up its old venue and moving into the former Rock & Roll Hotel space. The company signed the lease at 1353 H St. NE in early August and have since then been transforming the space into something new: Transmission. On Sept. 26, 618 Productions hosted its last event in their original venue and plan to have Transmission up and running by Oct. 3 for its two-day grand opening, BROADCAST ZERO.
