Jay Norvell is making a significant change to the offense for the Colorado State football team.

Norvell, CSU's head coach, has been the offensive play caller throughout his time leading the Rams .

After an ugly 20-3 loss to Washington State on Sept. 27 , that is now changing.

Norvell announced in his weekly press conference that Matt Mumme will now take over the duties of calling plays on offense. That begins this week when the Rams play at San Diego State on Oct. 3 .

Mumme is CSU's associate head coach and his title was elevated to "pass game coordinator" this offseason. While his title changed, Norvell retained play-calling duties until this point.
