Brad Treliving got to the point.

Before taking questions on Monday regarding the contract extension for goaltender Anthony Stolarz, the Maple Leafs general manager gave a shoutout to a certain American League baseball club.

That would be the Toronto Blue Jays, who have turned fully to post-season mode after winning the AL East title on the final day of the regular season on Sunday.

“First off, congrats to the Jays, eh?” Treliving said. “Good stuff to (manager) John (Schneider) and all the group down there. That’s awesome stuff and we look forward to watching next week.”
