LAKE COUNTY — Attorney Thomas Evans will become Lake County prosecutor effective Oct. 7, Chief Judge Robert D. Springstead of the 27th Circuit Court and Chief Judge David Glancy of the Lake County Trial Court announced.
Per a Sept. 29 news release from the county, Evans brings 29 years of legal experience, including more than 16 years as a prosecutor in Barry, Clare, Montmorency and Luce counties.
“I come to the job with a grateful heart for the trust that has been placed in me by Judge Springstead and Judge Glancy and look forward to start serving the people of Lake County,” Evans said.
Evans earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a law degree and tax degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He also holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan.
