FOXBOROUGH - After being sidelined two months with a hamstring injury, Christian Gonzalez got back into game action Sunday.
Following the 42-13 blowout win over the Carolina Panthers, the All-Pro cornerback acknowledged experiencing a few challenges, namely getting back into a rhythm and getting his legs back under him.
As re-entries go though, it wasn’t bad considering all the time missed.
Patriots coach Mike Vrabel, who offered his assessment of Gonzalez during his Monday press conference, thought it was positive and something to build on.
“I thought it was good for him to be out there,” Vrabel said of his star corner. “I think it can always be better. I think he knows that. But, for the first game back, there was some good stuff.”
Gonzalez started and played 49 snaps through th
