TWIGGS COUNTY, Ga. — A group of homeowners are suing Twiggs County, trying to stop a massive data center proposal that caused significant debate among residents.

The lawsuit, which is trying to stop a data center proposed by Eagle Rock Partners , centers on the Twiggs County Board of Commissioners vote to rezone 291 acres from agricultural to general industrial. That cleared the way for the data center project.

They say the county failed to properly provide notice of the zoning hearing, placing the sign informing the community of the rezoning effort on the wrong property for days and that the sign posted the incorrect date of the hearing.

All that violated Twiggs County's own zoning code., the lawsuit says.
