Michael’s Foundation, a Clermont-based nonprofit that provides free programs and support for Veterans and their families, was recognized this week as one of ten Central Florida organizations awarded grants at Addition Financial Foundation’s 4th annual Community Giving Celebration.

The event, held Sept. 10 at the Addition Financial Arena on the University of Central Florida campus, distributed $175,000 in unrestricted funding to nonprofits dedicated to strengthening families, advancing education and building healthier, more resilient communities.

Michael’s Foundation was founded by Kriss and Larry Titus in honor of their son, Michael Titus, a U.S. Veteran and the youngest of six children, who died by suicide in 2016. The couple established the nonprofit to continue Michael’s dream of help
