A 21-year-old person is in custody after allegedly trying to drive through a barricade near the Grand Blanc Township church recently attacked and set ablaze .
Law enforcement took the person into custody Monday, Sept. 29 and is still trying to determine if the incident is connected to the shooting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints , Grand Blanc Township Police Chief William Renye said.
"We are still in the process of investigating that incident," Renye said.
Free Press journalists witnessed state and federal law enforcement take a man into custody. They also saw what appeared to be a long gun removed from the red car driven by the man.
The barricade, about a football field away from the church, consisted of about 10 large orange construction cones and other signs
