SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A driver with a suspended license and warrants out for traffic violations now faces a drug trafficking charge after being caught with cocaine in the car, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.

SCSO said Dep. Terrell Kemp stopped a car whose driver had a suspended license and traffic warrants last Friday.

Kemp became suspicious when the stories of the driver and passenger of where they were coming from and going to didn’t match, stated SCSO.

SCSO stated Kemp deployed K-9 Marlo to sniff around the outside of the car.

Marlo detected the scent of narcotics at the driver’s door, according to SCSO.

A search of the car led Kemp to find 49 grams of cocaine and $1,500 cash under the driver’s seat, stated SCSO.
