Council decision makers have given their backing to a number of changes which will affect where Solihull residents will vote in future elections, including next May.

As the Local Democracy Reporting Service previously reported , Solihull Council is carrying out a review of polling districts – areas within an electoral ward or parliamentary constituency – and where polling stations should be located after recent boundary changes .

It said the review was needed to “ensure electors have reasonable and practical facilities for voting” and that polling places were accessible to all electors “as far as is reasonable and practicable”.
