Palm Beach County Ocean Rescue crews remain on alert as Tropical Storm Imelda brings rough surf and gusty winds.
Waves between three and six feet are hitting county beaches. Officials say similar conditions could continue throughout the week.
Even though Imelda is not making landfall in Florida, impacts are being felt across the region. In Juno Beach, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center reports turtle hatchlings have been washed ashore.
Crews found two washbacks over the weekend, including a green turtle and a loggerhead.
Beachgoers often see hatchlings resting in seaweed and call the center for help.
