A White House peace plan for Gaza released on Monday (September 29, 2025) proposes an end to the conflict between Israel and Hamas militants and the return of all hostages, living and dead, within 72 hours of Israel publicly accepting the agreement.

Mr. Trump to chair Gaza transitional body under peace plan and Gaza residents will be ‘encouraged to stay’ under Trump plan, said White House. Mr. Trump said Israel has ‘full backing’ of U.S. to take steps to defeat Hamas if it doesn’t accept proposed peace deal.

Mr. Trump also said Israel to withdraw from Gaza ‘in phases’ under the deal.

If both sides agree to the proposal, “the war will immediately end,” according to the plan. Israeli forces will withdraw to agreed upon lines to prepare for the hostage release.
