APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) - A routine drive turned into a rescue mission at Fox Valley Technical College when an employee discovered tiny meows coming from under their car hood.

A Facebook post from the college said the kitten proved tough to catch, even darting into another vehicle before campus security stepped in. Luckily, the story had a sweet ending.

Bryn Fuchs, studying Baking & Pastry Management, discovered the kitten by their car and instantly chose to adopt it.

The newest member of the campus community also has a new name, Pumpernickel.
