Former Iowa State wide receiver Jayden Higgins was used to finding the endzone during his two seasons in Ames, scoring 15 touchdowns between the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
The South Miami native scored his first touchdown in the NFL for the Houston Texans on Sunday, Sept. 28, during the team's 26-0 win over the Tennessee Titans.
Sunday's win was the Texans ' first of the season and marked the first time a rookie Iowa college football alum scored an NFL touchdown this season.
"I'm just happy C.J. [Stroud] threw it to me," Higgins said over the PA speakers at NRG Stadium while being interviewed postgame. "He trusted me, and whenever the ball is in the air, I've got to come down with it."
