A slightly overcast sky kept temperatures comfortable Saturday, Sept. 27 as an estimated 3,000 people filled Arts in the Sunset for the Hoodoo Mural Festival’s first year at the venue, transforming the campus into a living gallery of music and murals and celebrating Amarillo’s creative spirit.

The all-ages festival, held from mid-afternoon through late evening, featured live music, food trucks and interactive art activities as muralists turned blank walls into colorful landmarks. Organizers said attendance matched or slightly exceeded last year’s crowd despite the move from downtown.
