MrBeast is defending one of his risky new videos.

The 27-year-old YouTuber is speaking out after receiving backlash for his latest video, called “Would You Risk Dying for $500,000.”

In the video, a professional stuntman named Eric is put to the test, including being fired out of a cannon, to find his way out of a building that was set on fire, all while picking up cash along the way.

During the stunt, he picked up five bags worth $250,000 as he headed in and out of the building with his shoes on fire.

The contestant eventually made it out with a $350,000 haul, but social media insisted the stunt was “dystopian” and that the videos were “exploitation” of people with financial struggles, with some comparing it to Squid Game .
