The Delaware County Sheriff's Department is "working on an active investigation of a potential threat" which Delaware Community Schools administrators became aware of on Sunday.

MUNCIE, IN — An online threat targeting Delta High School resulted in additional law enforcement officers at the school on Monday, Sept. 29.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Department is "working on an active investigation of a potential threat" that Delaware Community Schools administrators became aware of Sunday, according to Chief Deputy Jeff Stanley.

Stanley said his department had "multiple units" at the school on Monday morning and would again at the end of the school day.

"We believe we know who is responsible (for) the threat and are working to speak with all parties involved," the chief deputy said.
