MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Air National Guard and UW Health are working together on the largest training agreement between a branch of the military and a private employer in the state.
Medics from the 115th Fighter Wing are getting clinical training from UW Health experts across multiple fields.
The goal is to get the troops ready to help in mass casualty events and support the community.
"If we partner and coordinate on not just continuing education needs, but if we partner on things like mass casualty drills and things that can be called upon to support our community, I just think it's a huge benefit for for the folks in the entire state," said Bridgett Willey, Director of Allied Health Education and Career Pathways, UW Health.
