A Birmingham woman is back behind bars on a capital murder charge that a judge previously dismissed.
Tamiya Krishaun Thomas , 24, is indicted in the January slaying of 40-year-old James Leon Craig, according to court records made public Monday.
She was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Sept. 25 and now is being held without bond.
Jefferson County District Judge William Bell in May dismissed the charge against Thomas following a preliminary hearing. Bell said at that time there was not enough evidence to support criminal charges at that time.
In dismissing the charge, Bell told Thomas prosecutors could still present the case to a grand jury, which they did. The indictment was issued Sept. 12.
