PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) -- The Peoria Police Department arrested a man in connection with the theft of an electric bike on Friday.

Domonic M. Mann, 40, was charged with armed robbery and is expected to show up for a detention hearing at 3 p.m., according to Peoria County Circuit Court Records.

Officers were initially dispatched to the area near North Richard Pryor Place and West John Gwynn Jr. Avenue around 12:18 p.m., Friday after a report of an armed robbery with a knife, said Peoria police spokeswoman Semone Roth.

A 46-year-old man said he was confronted by a man who displayed a knife, then stole his electric bicycle. A short time later, officers located Mann, who was allegedly found in possession of the bike, Roth said. Officers also allegedly located a knife on his person.
