EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — A group of divers is focusing their efforts on the Evansville area in search of a woman who went missing several decades ago.
The "Chaos Divers" say they're searching on Monday for Debra Ann Wilhite, who’s been missing since 1974 from Evansville.
Wilhite went missing at the age of 19 on Oct. 16, 1974, after leaving her shift at the Windmill Restaurant at Highway 41 and 57.
Indiana State Police officials say Wilhite was seen leaving in her vehicle, a green 1966 Ford Galaxy, two door hard top with Indiana vehicle registration 26B2953. Her vehicle has not been located.
According to ISP, Wilhite was last seen speaking with a man who was asking for a ride from the restaurant.
