BOSTON — Before the Celtics made their big trades this summer to cut payroll, plenty of names floated around in trade rumors. While the C’s did trade some of those guys like Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, as expected, others like Sam Hauser , Derrick White and Jaylen Brown were also included in the murmurs.

But the Celtics didn’t trade away from their main core this summer. While they brought in notable new faces , guys like Hauser are back for another season with the Celtics. Hauser, entering his fifth season in Boston, made a blunt acknowledgement when it came to those trade rumors Monday at C’s media day.
