A car went over the side of an embankment in Malibu, with fire officials using a helicopter to get the injured driver to safety.

The crash in the 2900 block of Sequit Drive occurred just before 11:20 a.m., and the driver, a woman, was hoisted out of a ravine via helicopter just before noon, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

She is in moderate condition, fire officials added.

What caused the woman's vehicle to go over the side has not been released.
