FRANKLIN, Ky. – Two Franklin men are facing drug trafficking charges following an investigation.

According to the South-Central Kentucky Drug Task Force, agents, along with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a traffic stop on Sept. 22 on Filter Plant Road in Franklin.

Authorities say the driver, identified as 39-year-old Michael Cantrell, and the passenger, identified as 34-year-old Zachary Cantrell, both of Franklin, were arrested.

Officials say both individuals were found to be in possession of and trafficking prescription oxycodone.

Both remain at the Simpson County Detention Center.
