GRAND BLANC, Mich. — The Salvation Army is stepping in to help families and first responders in the aftermath of the Grand Blanc Township church shooting .
While teams from Genesee County were on the ground at the scene yesterday, their partners in Kent County said they’re standing by in support.
“There are different things and practical things that we can, as outsiders, kind of come along and help with,” said Major Tim Meyer with the Kent County Salvation Army.
As families wait for answers following the fire and mass shooting at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, the Salvation Army is providing both physical and emotional support.
