MUSKEGON, MI -- Fire displaced tenants living in 36 units at a Muskegon apartment complex on Sunday, Sept. 28.
The fire was reported about 5:30 p.m. at Glen Oaks Apartments, near Marquette Avenue and U.S. 31.
Muskegon Public Safety investigators believe the fire started in a bedroom of one unit and then spread.
The fire gutted one unit and caused significant smoke and water damage to other nearby units.
There were no injuries reported.
The American Red Cross assisted evacuated residents with finding temporary housing and taking care of other needs.
Investigators said the fire’s cause is under investigation.
