Last Thursday, Stevensville citizens were briefed on potential upcoming sewer and water projects and told to “buckle down” while rates catch up with infrastructure issues.
“I think there’s a lot of misconceptions. I think there’s a lot of concerned citizens and we all know that since we raised the water rates last August, there’s a lot of stuff flying around everywhere,” Mayor Bob Michalson said, starting off Thursday night’s Stevensville Town Council meeting. “I’ll just come right out and say it, there’s an election happening in a few weeks and the other candidate is running on lowering water rates. So we’re just gonna let the facts play out here and let the public decide for themselves.”
