Jason Kidd is setting the record straight when it comes to Kyrie Irving.

The Dallas Mavericks star guard tore his ACL in March . Recent reports have come out that Irving is ahead of schedule in his rehab, but that doesn’t appear to be the case.

“Now, you know I don’t do well with me, with the medical, and I’m not a doctor. So when we do see Ky shooting, can we just refrain from saying ahead of schedule? That’s bad reporting,” the Mavs coach told reporters at Monday’s media day . “I’m just giving you the answer to the test. He is doing quite well. But he’s not ahead of schedule.
