Put on your dancing shoes. Swing Out, South Florida offers dance lessons and dance socials in Fort Lauderdale.

The events include a lesson at 7:45 p.m. and a dance event 8:30 p.m. with a DJ playing Swing and Jazz. Entry fee is $10 for adults and $6 for students. The event brings together dancers from teens to retirees, who dance to jazz, swing and other vintage styles.

The upcoming events in 2025 include October 1, 15 and 29; November 12 and 26 and December 10. The “taster” lessons and social dances are usually every other Wednesday night.

May 10 is jazz night, featuring Svetlana and the Delancey Three, a popular swing dance band from New York. Entry for live jazz night is $15 for adults and $10 for students. The lesson at 7:45 p.m. is free.
