A long-time produce market in Egg Harbor Township was burglarized over the weekend, with the criminals causing around $50,000 in damage and getting away with at least $15,000 in cash, the owners told NBC10 on Monday.

The owners of M&S Produce Outlet on Black Horse Pike say the power and wires for surveillance cameras were cut by the burglars, who they say also broke through walls to get inside.

"I couldn’t believe it. I literally couldn’t believe it," said Oscar Sanchez, one of the market's owners.

Dipen Patel, another co-owner of the business, said he just bought the business in July and that he believes the perpetrators were prepared for the heist.
