Fendi has announced that Silvia Venturini Fendi will be stepping down as Creative Director of the Italian fashion house.

Remaining within the Fendi family, Silvia will leave her directorial role to become Honorary President, effective October 1. She will continue to champion the brand’s rich history and craftsmanship while also focusing on Fendi Casa. Following Kim Jones ’s exit as Artistic Director of haute couture, ready-to-wear, and fur collections, the 64-year-old designer fully took over Fendi’s womenswear and menswear lines. The house is moving forward with a complete creative reset, but has yet to appoint a new leader.
