COLUMBUS, Ohio. (WSAZ) - A statewide human trafficking organization conducted last week in Ohio resulted in the arrest of 135 people.

Attorney General Dave Yost made that announcement today in Columbus.

Operation Next Door took place in urban centers, suburban communities, and rural areas throughout Ohio, involving more than 100 law enforcement agencies.

32 were arrested on felony charges that included prostitution, with some of those cases involving children.

A man from Glouster and a man from Ironton were both arrested in the investigation.

Yost says 67 human trafficking survivors were referred by law enforcement to health care and social services organizations.
