CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cavs point guard Darius Garland is back on the court, happy about the progress he’s made following offseason toe surgery.

But there’s still no clarity on when he will make his 2025-26 season debut.

“I don’t have a date yet — that I’m going to tell y’all,“ Garland said with a wry smile Monday afternoon. ”But I do have a date in mind.”

So, does Garland expect to miss games at the start of the regular season?

“I don’t know yet,” he said. “We’ll see.”

Garland battled turf toe at the end of 2024-25 — an injury that cost him four playoff games and eventually required offseason surgery.

Shortly after the operation on June 9, the Cavs announced that Garland would undergo a progression of treatment and rehab for about 4-5 months, with the expectation to make a full recovery
