A couple of weeks after the annual Terry Fox Run, cancer got another kick in the shins at Lamoureux Park.

This time, a few dozen participants took part in the third Cornwall Multiple Myeloma March .

Organizer Bryan Rennie said he was happy to announce their efforts surpassed the $7,000 goal, raising $8,070.

“Every year we’re growing — I love it, it’s great,” Rennie said on a picture-perfect Saturday morning.

The event has now included a 10-kilometre run, along with the five-kilometre walk.

“We’re building support in younger people, which could be a challenge,” Rennie said.
