Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have split after 19 years of marriage.
People and TMZ – which was first to share the news – reported on Sept. 29 that Urban, 57, and Kidman, 58, are separated. USA TODAY has reached out to both Kidman and Urban's representatives for comment.
In June, the "Holland" actress shared a backstage photo of herself embracing Urban to mark 19 years since their wedding, and simply captioned the Instagram post: "Happy Anniversary Baby ."
The couple first met 20 years ago in Los Angeles and married just over a year later near Sydney, Australia, on June 25, 2006.
"It was my (38th) birthday, and he stood outside with gardenias at 5 a.m. on my stoop in New York," Kidman told People magazine in 2019. "That is when I went, 'This is the man I hope I get to marry.'" She continued, "I believed by that point he was the love of my life."
Urban and Kidman are parents to daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret. Kidman adopted Isabella "Bella" Cruise and Connor Cruise during her first marriage to Tom Cruise.
Sunday and Faith were in attendance when the American Film Institute presented Kidman with its lifetime achievement award in 2024. In his speech, Urban described his wife as "raw" and "resilient," according to a video shared by Variety.
"She has the capacity to love like no one I've ever met," Urban said before telling Kidman that "next year will be 20 years that I've been madly in love with you."
