COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Police in Columbia are asking for help to find a missing woman and her nine-month-old child.

The Columbia Police Department said 24-year-old Alyshia Chavis and the baby boy were reported missing by the child’s father. The department clarified with WIS that Chavis was reported missing on Sept. 11.

CPD said Chavis and the child were reported missing by the child’s father, who said the former was supposed to be coming home from Charlotte. Police said Chavis has not communicated with loved ones for several weeks.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
