SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. —

On Monday, a gathering was held at the Cleveland Park Event Center in Spartanburg to honor the nine lives lost and recognize the heroes who helped the county recover from Hurricane Helene.

Officials, first responders, nonprofit partners, and families came together to pay tribute to those affected by the storm and to acknowledge the community's resilience and the dedication of those who assisted in the aftermath.

County leaders said the event was a powerful reminder of both the resilience of the community and the dedication of those who answered the call when it was needed most.
