A man who pleaded guilty last week to killing a mother and her 4-year-old daughter in Louisiana has pleaded guilty to more charges in Mississippi.

On Monday, 38-year-old Daniel Callihan appeared in a Hinds County courtroom, where he pleaded guilty to capital murder, two counts of sexual battery, and two counts of kidnapping. A judge sentenced him to life in prison for the murder and sexual battery charges, and 30 years for each kidnapping charge.

Federal prosecutors say Callihan killed 35-year-old Callie Brunett in her home in Loranger last year by stabbing her around 50 times. He then kidnapped her two young daughters and took them to Mississippi.
