A Scottish woman who moved to Los Angeles to become an attorney was found dead in her apartment — and her husband is now charged with murder.

The BBC , KTLA and CBS News reported that Jonathan Renteria, 25, has been charged with the murder of June Bunyan, 37. According to Los Angeles County jail records, Renteria is being held on $4 million bail.

KTLA and CBS News reported that authorities first responded to an incident in Ventura County, where Renteria reportedly attempted suicide at a hotel.
