MUMBAI: The BJP is likely to be the dominant party within the Mahayuti in the BMC election in terms of the number of seats it gets to contest. With deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde saying victory is more important than the number of seats contested, political observers said Shinde was indicating that the Shiv Sena would agree to contest fewer seats than the BJP in the BMC election. Shinde managed to secure an equal number of seats in the Lok Sabha polls and just a couple of seats less in the assembly polls compared to the BJP in Mumbai.
