Corpus Christi police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver and passenger of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run on the night of Sept. 28.

The crash happened at about 10 p.m. at the intersection of Baldwin Boulevard and Ayers Street, according to a news release written by Corpus Christi Police Department senior officer Antonio Contreras.

The driver of the vehicle left after striking a person in a wheelchair who was attempting to cross the street, police said.

Medics took the person to a local hospital with injuries that were life-threatening.
