OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office K9 Beau tracked a fugitive through the swamp Saturday, eventually leading to the man's capture and arrest, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Facebook post.
K9 Beau, his handler, Deputy Tim Patterson, and the rest of his unit, along with the OCSO drone unit, worked together with the Okaloosa and Walton Correctional Institution teams to track and capture 47-year-old Anthony Mcleod of Laurel Hill after he reportedly ran into a swampy area in an attempt to escape.
After tracking him for several hours through the swamp, officers took Mcleod into custody off Bill Lundy Road, according to officials.
