IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Iowa City Animal Services is investigating a dog bite that was reported this week.

Iowa City Animal Services received a report of a dog bite on Monday.

Authorities say the dog bite occurred on Greenwood Drive near Benton Street around 5:00 p.m. on September 26.

According to Iowa City Animal Services, the dog was reported as a mostly white Australian Shepherd with some merle markings. The dog was being walked by two women.

Iowa City Animal Services is looking for information in regards to the rabies vaccination status of the dog.
