After next month, a Central Florida non-profit dedicated to serving seniors will no longer offer a free shuttle bus in downtown Orlando.
WESH 2 has learned the City of Orlando tried to renew its contract with Seniors First, but that organization is cutting its transportation services.
Gella Gordon, 95, depends on food deliveries or the Senior Tran shuttle service to go grocery shopping.
Gordon said she uses the free transportation service at least once a month to go to Publix, Walmart and the Dollar Store.
"We need it here,” she said, “lot of people don't drive.”
Before 1:30 p.m. Monday, Senior Tran completed one of its round trips to the Kinneret Apartments where Gordon lives on Delaney Ave. in Orlando.
