Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the 15-year-old girl found dead in the trunk of popular singer D4vd’s car, was likely dead for several weeks before police found her decomposing body in a Hollywood tow yard, police said Monday, Sept. 29.

The cause of Rivas Hernandez’s death remains under investigation weeks after police found her dismembered body in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to David Anthony Burke, known as D4vd, on Sept. 9, a day after her 15th birthday. She was previously reported missing from Lake Elsinore last year, when she was 13.

Until they know the cause of death, Los Angeles police said it’s unclear if “there is any criminal culpability beyond the concealment of her body.”
