It’s no secret that most dogs adore toys. They provide entertainment, help them practice skills like fetching or problem-solving, and can even encourage exploration.

But toys can also serve another purpose. Many dogs use them as comfort objects, often forming strong bonds with plush toys that make them feel safe and secure.

That’s exactly the case with the sweet pup in this story. Jane found her greatest comfort in snuggling her favorite plushie while patiently waiting for her new family to arrive.

Introducing Jane

Jane’s story began at the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana (HSNWLA). She was rescued along with her mom and siblings only hours after being born.

The shelter staff welcomed them with open arms , ensuring they had everything they needed to grow strong and feel safe.
